Topic: The topic for the informative essay is “The Constitutionality of Marriage Equality.” Briefly trace the evolution of the constitutionality of same-sex marriage as a fundamental right in the United States. Your essay should include a review of state ballot initiatives and federal and state laws pertaining to marriage equality. Also, examine relevant state and federal law suits and court decisions as well as the constitutional basis for the rulings.

Instructions:

• The essay must be 3-4 pages in length, MLA FORMAT. (750-1000 WORDS)
• The thesis statement should be in the introduction of the essay.
• The essay must include an OUTLINE, and Works Cited page. (Addition to the 3-4 pages of text)
• Make sure to use parenthetical references when crediting outside sources.
• Must have at least FIVE credible sources listed on the citation page.
• Be sure to present the latest research on the topic.
