  • Students must complete one essay highlighting two different views on a historical debate.
  • The essay length should be 350-600 words.
  • Students must incorporate unit terms and/or concepts where possible.
  • Students must reference the two required sources AND an additional two sources appropriately related to the historical debate.
  • Students should clarify the evidence supporting their essay.  You may embed source details by specifying the author and/or title of the source.  Does your author question the quality of the sources they are using or do they present all source information as 100% factual.  Did you find any of the evidence questionable; why?
  • Students must type and submit their essay responses, then load the completed file to blackboard by the the due date/time.
  • While you do not need to include a title page, students should include their name, the course, and title of work in the header of their document.
  • All four sources should be cited in Chicago Style format at the bottom of the essay.
  • Please use appropriate college language, spelling, writing structure, etc.
  • Font? 12 pt.  As far as font type is concerned, just make sure it is legible so I don’t strain my eyes.
  • Both spell-check, then proofread your work.
